Randers Tropical Zoo - Asia Dome (Alligator exhibit)

The exhibit for American alligators inside the Asia Dome in Randers Tropical Zoo, Denmark. Their exhibit opened in 2010 and no, it does not fit the theme very well. American alligators are part of the future plans for Randers Tropical Zoo and this exhibit functions as a nursery for eight young individuals to grow big in.

The Asia Dome is 700 sqm in size and 14 meters tall. It opened along with the zoo in 1996, the gibbon/otter exhibit was added in 2001 and the whole dome was remodeled with a partial model of an Angkor Wat temple ruin in 2010.

Do you know what these futre plans is?
Are they planing a everglades dome or is it something compleatly diferent?

I also faund them a little misplaced when I was there the last time and didnt realy know the reason for them to be there

thank you for clearing that out. Wow randers is not joking around, the biggest zoo in the world. Where will they gett the money for such an expand? I gues the fonds is there biggest obsticle to cross, but if they get the fonds and they build this, I would be the first to be there when the gates open on opening day ;)
