@pachyderm pro thank you do you know when the loris exhibit will open I love brookfield very much even though Metro Richmond and others in Va have better collections. Btw where did they get the Gerenuk from.
The Loris exhibit should open in March if I'm correct. The zoo received 2 male gerenuk in 2014. One from San Diego, and one from Miami. Sadly, one of the males passed so we only have one left. He shares his exhibit with 1.1 kirks dik-dik.
@jayjds2 Agreed. Pangolins, addax, echidnas, Mongolian wild horse, wombats, okapi, gerenuk, sloth bears, slow loris and bearcats, to name a few. A fairly impressive collection if you ask me (I'm predicting to get a bunch of jealous comments on the photos I will be posting when the pangolin exhibit opens ).
@pachyderm pro im surprised how long do dik dik live for their relatively new to the zoo. Also they had blue duiker for only several months and now there gone is it worth do get animals for such a short period?
