This is such an improvement on the old cat house, I love Artis zoo and visisted it a couple of times a year in the 80's/90's but the big cats always left me a litle sad. especiallly the leopards/panthers i always felt even the lions could have more room if they filled in the moat and put glass along the top of the retaining wall.
I was actually a little underwhelmed by this new exhibit. It looks amazing, but the enclosures aren't as big as I initially thought. The rear enclosure, in particular, is surprisingly small and plain. If it were enclosed with bars or boxed with mesh then there would have been a lot more disappointment from visitors.
