interestingly the date on the EXIF says 1999. I wouldn't have thought a scanned photo would give a date of the photo itself (the File Date is that of the scan - i.e. 2015), so not sure how that works?

1999 is the date of the scan, not the date of the original image. Transparencies don't have EXIF data

oh! You scanned it in 1999 and the 2015 is the upload date. I thought you had re-scanned it to upload it.

That makes a lot more sense. And quite right about the EXIF and transparencies. I feel foolish now
