West Indian manatees have been bred several times in various European zoos (Arnhem, Amsterdam, Beauval, Madrid, Nuremberg, Odense); the first one was born at Amsterdam in 1977.

Mehdi 3 Mar 2017 @Norwegian moose I've seen them at COEX Aquarium, Seoul , South Korea . I believe an aquarium in Japan (Toshiba?) and some in China also keep them.

Chlidonias 4 Mar 2017 there are quite a lot of Chinese aquariums with African manatees, as well as some in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
