USS Antiquities

Spotted Turtles
"Begin your journey in the U.S.S. Antiquities, home to a variety of fish, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Walk through the submarine cave to learn how life forms changed over time and explore present day habitats of the plants and animals that live here. Stop at the cave entrance to check out the aquarium holding the only giant Pacific octopus in upstate New York, and several different species of fish, sea stars and anemones."

Rosamond Gifford Zoo

@dean The exhibit as a whole was originally a series of smaller exhibits showing life's evolution over time from invertebrates and fish to mammals and reptiles walking on land. It used to begin with a prehistoric cave and even a caveman mannequin. When the zoo did a capital improvement plan in the late 90's they updated the first part to be a submarine voyage thru time. However it was only updating the beginning and added the first three small tanks which are portholes to the ocean essentially. The rest of the cave is almost exactly as it was when it was first added when the zoo was completely renovated in the early 80's.

Thanks folks I wondered why it was titled Antiquities, it makes sense now.
