Cichlid

July 17 2016.
One of the many geographical forms of Tropheus. I think it may be the first form that was imported into Europe from Burundi (Lake Tanganyika), which was christened the Brabant cichlid because of its gold, scarlet and black colours. This was originally called Tropheus moorii, but I have also seen the name Tropheus sp 'Black' and I'm probably out of date as the taxonomy of cichlids is so changeable.

Thank you very much gentle lemur ! The name "Brabant cichlid" makes it even more intresting for me because the area I'm living in, is called Brabant :) !
