What made me wonder about the ID was that the wings are held in a bit of an odd way I thought and it doesn't seem to have much patterning on the body.
However I didn't actually note this down as something to go back and ID later when I was out in the field so it probably is just a bulbul. I should probably stop looking through my dodgy pictures and finding IDs to question which I didn't actually question at the time!
