Douroucouli 1979

I am not certain which species is shown here, as these animals are not recorded on Zootierliste. I suspect that it is Aotus trivirgatus. I think that the Nocturnal House in the Children's Zoo was used as a dry run for the Moonlight World, but the enclosures were larger so it was then used to supplement the Moonlight World, particularly for large species such as the aardvarks. During the 1970s, the Douroucoulis at London were listed as Aotus trivirgatus; young were born in 1974, 75 and 76.

As best I recall, back in the 70's there was only one species of douroucouli known.
