I have kept the blue faced or tricolour variety, they often seem to be in a continual state of moult, they never ever looked pristine, may be it is just the blood line you get?
@dean You clearly know far more about these birds than I do, so I can't disagree. The other 3 birds seemed in better feather than this one: but they didn't pose for my camera.
