One of a handful of Foxglove trees Paulownia tomentosa in the zoo.
 
Are they all allowed to grow like this G are are some of them coppiced? if coppiced they produce very large exotic looking leaves ideal for a zoo, but likely to weeken the plant after a few years.
 
As far as I can tell, they are just left to get on with it. I noticed three in flower today - this one is near the Cheetahs and two are close to the Rhinos.
