Is Gator Alley a permanent exhibit? It looks like they have one of the larger crocodilian species collections in the zoo world from your photos (7 or 8 species?).
@DavidBrown It seems it is there to stay. If it rains tomorrow and if I'm called off work, I will visit to see. The attraction started off with Cuvier's caiman, alligator, Dwarf crocodile, false gharial, orinoco, spectacled caiman, Moerelet's Crocodile, and Siamese crocodile. Quickly the young reptiles grew too large for their exhibits and were replaced. Sometimes not even by crocodilians. A large Nile crocodile replaced Mighty Mike for a little while before his return. Two albino alligators (the aquarium refers to them as leucistic) replaced the Orinoco. Last time I was there, which was in March of 2016, there was a Mugger crocodile (soon replaced by a Chinese crocodile lizard), alligator newt, crocodile skink, caiman lizard, chuckwalla, eyelash Viper, some species of Tortoise (?), Mighty Mike, Dwarf crocodile, and the albino gators.
Thanks for that. It sounds like the crocodilians of the world exhibit was temporary, but the presence of alligators and other reptile species is permanent.
@DavidBrown You're welcome. Also forgot the green tree python and tentacled snake, the real stars of the attraction if you ask me. You may see the exhibits in the gallery as I upload them but it is actually fortunate that there isn't an abundance of crocodilians living in them any longer.
