4/29/2017 - Cassowary

Being this close to a highly dangerous bird was amazing! On a side note, the pair of cassowary habitats present are perhaps the best I've seen for the species.
Do you have a photo of the exhibits? They're new since my last visit (which, granted, was several years ago). I'm glad the zoo continues to produce high-quality exhibits; the spider monkeys especially look fantastic.
 
I could've sworn I took a photo of one of the exhibits, but while going through the photos, I guess I don't. Oh well - I'll have all summer to get one! :p And yes it is great to see so much progress just this year - I'm most excited for the Expedition Peru area. I look forward to seeing this year's results, and the projects beyond.
