Passerine Aviary

Exactly the kind of question someone with more detailed notes would be able to answer :p
I think there were about four species in here, but really very few individual birds, and I know I didn't see everything. A very nice exhibit for a sit-down (benches provided).

@FunkyGibbon The following were signposted:

Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica cyanecula)
Pied Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta)
Laughing Dove (Streptopelia senegalensis)
Ferruginous Duck (Aythya nyroca)
Eurasian Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus chloropus)
Iberian Azure-winged Magpie (Cyanopica cooki)
Western Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis ibis)
European Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula clangula)
Smew (Mergellus albellus)
Garganey (Spatula querquedula)

Of these, I saw all but the first species.

Yes, I lingered for a long time looking for both the bluethroat and the goldeneye, to no avail. It seems like there are more waterfowl species in there now. Is there some doubling of species between the two large 'semi-cylinder' aviaries now?

@FunkyGibbon Not as much as you would have thought; the other one contained the following:

Garganey (Spatula querquedula)
European Chub (Squalius cephalus)
Red-breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis)
Great Bittern (Botaurus stellaris)
Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata)
Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax nycticorax)
Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia)

So only the one duplicated species.
