@ThylacineAlive: I think "quite nice" is about right. Definitely an improvement and the viewing's cool, but everything else is fairly standard. Also, the artificial elements dominate, which is not to my taste. It struck me at the time that three of Britain's premier zoos have opened new tiger exhibits in the last few years and they all pretty much fit that description.
@Giant Panda I honestly like Tiger Territory, due to the fact that they at least try to hide the netting, and also due to the fact that now the vegetation has grown in, it feels more like a Sumatran Forest. Chester I can understand because of the garish color choices and the weird patterns of landscaping, as well as the unconvincing rockwork that holds the underwater viewing glass. Edinburgh, with a few tweaks to the design (essentially a british Tiger River) would be a spectacular exhibit. This one is slightly above average given the space and all. Hopefully the fencing and the glass tunnel would be somewhat concealed when the foliage grows in.
There's something a little in-your-face about the fencing at Chester as well. I agree about Tiger Territory, I really like that exhibit and it always feels lush. I don't particularly think that it captures the true rainforest feeling but it's pleasant anyway.
