The aquarium building was broadly divided in two parts. The first had larger fish in large tanks but was quite cramped (for both visitors and fish). The second part had various frog tanks (see here for species: National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka - review of National Zoological Gardens, Colombo, December 2016) and a number of very nice planted tanks such as the one pictured above. An interesting idea was placing the identification inside the tank itself, written on the stones.
