In my review of the zoo (here: National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka - review of National Zoological Gardens, Colombo, December 2016) I wrote about how "back in the 1970s when Singapore was deciding to build a zoo they came to Sri Lanka to see how to do it, and some of the Colombo Zoo people went to Singapore to help set the new zoo up." And that when I was at the Colombo Zoo it "made me think of Singapore Zoo in some ways - the small stage-type enclosures for example - but in more of an Indian sort of way if that makes sense."
This Guanaco enclosure is one of the parts I was talking about - a small platform-style enclosure for ungulates, but not as "dressed up" as the Singapore enclosures.
