I watched these cats being fed the other weekend and listened to the keeper´s talk during the feeding event. The caracals are being fed practically every day of the week, I learned. Not so much because they really HAVE to eat each day (which, inte wild, they don´t do, of course), but because it is hard to find enrichment techniques for them. Apparently, these cats have not sas good a smelling sense as other cats, which makes it difficult to enrich them that way.
