It's sometimes fun to use Blackbrook's ridiculous waterfowl collection for a challenge. This time I tried to photograph all the swan taxa - I was foiled by the non-appearance of the Mute Swans that are normally on the European lake.

It\'s sometimes fun to use Blackbrook\'s ridiculous waterfowl collection for a challenge. This time I tried to photograph all the swan taxa - I was foiled by the non-appearance of the Mute Swans that are normally on the European lake.
 
@FBBird I'm no special swan expert but it was certainly labelled as Whistling (this area was a series of paddocks with a pair of swans of a different species in each, so unless Blackbrook mis-ID'ed them there's no room for confusion) and the ID points for Whistling are there - the yellow spot near to the eye is weak but present and the black is narrower in front of the eye than the eye diameter.
