Sri Lankan Dusky Squirrel (Funambulus obscurus)

There are two species of Dusky Squirrels, one in southern India (F. sublineatus) and one in Sri Lanka - formerly they were considered to be conspecific (being subspecies of sublineatus). There are six species of Funambulus, all native to India and Sri Lanka, and I have been lucky enough to have seen all of them in the wild.
