@lintworm Thanks for typing out that proposed schedule and the idea of going to Europe for perhaps 20 days and seeing 20 of the best zoos on the continent is very appealing. I'll see what the future holds...and @CGSwans and his travel thread make it even more enticing for me to jet overseas. However, I do have 4 young kids back home in Canada and they are expensive little critters.
Haha. If you recall I have made this same pitch to you, SL. It's eminently doable for the typical cost of one of your US road trips, with two simple alterations. A train pass instead of a car, and a willingness to stay in hostels.
@CGSwans I usually delete all of my private ZooChat messages but I do keep the great ones that I've had over the years. I still have two very long and detailed messages from you and wouldn't it be amazing if years from now I used them to plan a European trip? You never know!
