The herd indoor enclosure is all covered with deep sand. The floor s of the male´s´enclosures were alraedy made before this decision was taken. But there is always a big heap of sand in each of the two male enlosures. You just don´t see it in this particular picture. From what I have read, Chiang-Mei always sleeps on this heap of sand, resting his big head with one of his tusks buried deep into the sand.
