Emerald cockroach wasp

Monsoon Forest, Chester, 5th July 2017.
I find the name confusing - the coupling of 'emerald' with 'cockroach' automatically makes me think of the green banana cockroach, Panchlora nivea.

hi gentle lemur, your photographs always blow me away on how incredibly detailed they are, do you mind me asking what camera and lens do you use and settings?

Lisa

Thank you. For the past couple of months I have been using my new Nikon D500, which is pretty wonderful. For this shot I used my 105mm f/2.5 Micro Nikkor, the other lens I usually take to zoos is my 300mm f/4 Nikkor, although I sometimes use other lenses (you can check by looking at the Information tab above).
