Aug. 2017 - Oceans/Marine Mammals - Macaques Replacing the Polar Bear

Looks interesting. Two questions, 1. Did the bear pass away or was it moved? 2. Do they know what species? I can assume Japanese Macaques but those don't look like the ones at Detroit or LPZ.

As far as I know, DeYoung Family Zoo (Michigan), Folsom City Zoo & Sanctuary (California) and Monkey Jungle (Florida) all currently have Crab-Eating Macaques and Indianapolis Zoo (Indiana) will add the species in 2018.

Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo had one elderly male of that species (housed with a pig-tailed macaque) but neither is on exhibit anymore, per a friend's visit.
