Cape Griffon Vulture aviary

February 2009-This is the most hidden exhibit at the zoo.
February 2009-This is the most hidden exhibit at the zoo. This is home to 6.5.2 vultures.

I have been to the LA Zoo 4 times in my life, and never have I made it over to the griffon vultures. I've always noticed them on the map, but never made it over there. Actually my last visit was the first time I've ever even been through the walkthrough aviary. It's actually a very tough zoo to see all in one day.

I've been to the zoo for many times and I've only been to the vulture exhibit about 5 times. Sometimes I forget completely since it's hidden and sometimes I'm too tired to walk up the hill. I agree with you in that the zoo is a tough zoo to see all in one day.

Next time you go to the LA zoo you should try to go to the exhibit since it's always a quiet place, and during the summer it's at least 10 degrees cooler because of all the shade in that area.

If this exhibit is still here, is it on the long path leading up from the bird theater to the playground?

It's still at the zoo behind the Jaguar exhibit. There are no public paths leading up to it.
