@Anteaterman You know I don't even remember where I saw this. Was it Urban Jungle? It may have been the old Horn and Hoof Mesa? Anyway I do not know if they have any on exhibit now - I do not recall seeing any recently.
In July of this year, they were on show, along with Mara, in an enclosure over which one walked in order to access the cable car station. This was next to the Pumas, between Polar Bears and Elephants....
@sooty mangabey, thank you for that information. I haven't been to the zoo in a while and have been trying to figure out where these are now housed. @Arizona Docent, based on the photo, I would say that these were in urban jungle when you took the shot. Awesome photo by the way!
@Maguari Although it isn't often seen it is worth mentioning that this species does tend to use bodies of water quite frequently in the wild and particularly when temperatures begin to rise.
A colleague of mine who did radio telemetry studies on the species in an area of Cerrado habitat in Sao Paulo state found that visits to ponds to bathe and cool down were a regular occurence during the Brazilian summers.

Absolutely, yes. As you mentioned above, only really in warm weather... I have never seen them housed in enclosures with pools large enough for swimming, so all of the behaviour is really 'bathing' which they evidently love!
