Are the anteaters at the zoo now only viewable from skyfari west? The last time I went to the zoo (2014, I believe) they were living in africa rocks.
 
@Anteaterman You know I don't even remember where I saw this. Was it Urban Jungle? It may have been the old Horn and Hoof Mesa? Anyway I do not know if they have any on exhibit now - I do not recall seeing any recently.
 
In July of this year, they were on show, along with Mara, in an enclosure over which one walked in order to access the cable car station. This was next to the Pumas, between Polar Bears and Elephants....
 
@Maguari Although it isn't often seen it is worth mentioning that this species does tend to use bodies of water quite frequently in the wild and particularly when temperatures begin to rise.

A colleague of mine who did radio telemetry studies on the species in an area of Cerrado habitat in Sao Paulo state found that visits to ponds to bathe and cool down were a regular occurence during the Brazilian summers.
