AWP 10 Sep 2017 My first guess is a kind of furnariid, but I can't find a matching species in the bird guide... On the background is an Euphonia (E. imitans? without the head it's difficult to tell), but you probably already knew that.

ralph 10 Sep 2017 Already found the answer. It's a juvenile red-legged honeycreeper. (hence no red legs). But thanks anyway The euphonia is indeed a spot-crowned.

AWP 10 Sep 2017 Because of th dull colors, I passed the section of the colorfull tanager species, but the drawing under "red-legged honeycreeper, non-breeding male" is a match.
