@Deer Forest Oh ok, well have you tried contacting the zoo themselves? There could be a possibility that they were wild caught, which the founder stock at Moscow Zoo Breeding Nursery were. Those animals consisted of 2.7 that were captured in Kygryzstan back in 2007.
What do you think of the possibility that those animals in Beijing came from Moscow? Also what is the gender ratio of Beijing Zoo's Marco polo argali (Ovis polii)? Has any breeding occurred yet?
