Rostock Zoo - Australian aviary

Housing Bourke's parrots, cockatiels, budgerigars, and diamond doves. This aviary - while big enough for its inhabitants - is very much a relic from the old Rostock Zoo.

The reason for the oblong shape of this photo is that it's taken with my cell phone. That's not something I usually do, but my camera ran completely out of battery after five hours of constant use, and given that I didn't want to go home without photos of black-mantled tamarins and Goodfellow's tree kangaroos among others, I had to use a last resort. Well, that at least taught me to buy extra batteries and bring them the next time I visit a big zoo.

Of course, I'll only upload the photos I deem to be functional exhibit photos, so that the already overflowing gallery isn't filled with poor-quality cell phone photos.

July 2017.
