Palawan hornbills, finally :)

Currently (october 2016) held in 3 zoos in Europe (in Eastern half of Europe).
@lintworm Really, I am not as that good in identification of many animals. Attica Zoological Park is listed as holder of both Palawan and Luzon tarictic hornbill, on Zootierliste
Now I see on google images that, yes this equals to Palawan hornbill :)
I didn't link the signages on the enclosures with the photos unfortunatelly.

No problem, zoos that have a lot of bird species can be extremely confusing, because there is just too much to see.

I once walked around the Berlin Zoo with a checklist, but that was no fun at all, though my companion found it hilarious ;).

@Nikola Chavkosk As far as I know, US zoos do not have either of those species. Among Asian hornbills, the most common seem to be rhinoceros. I've also seen small numbers of Indian, wrinkled, Papuan, and wreathed, and the AZA has breeding programs for the first of those two.

It is really nice that a species like Palawan hornbill is becoming more established in European collections (both zoological institutions and private breeder facilities). It is to be hoped that good breeding success will ensure we have an assurance population ex situ.
