... for the first time ever they were not very active and I did not see them use the pool at all. I went by their enclosure three times during my five hour visit and the female was laying down in the same corner every time. Perhaps she was feeling sick? The male showed stereotype behaviour at one of my visits to their exhibit - walking the same round for the whole of the 15 minutes I watched. Might be that he was worried about the female´s behaviour? The two young animals are extremely bonded and usually spend most of their time interacting with each other.
