N'Dowe

Gorilla Island, Paignton, 19th September 2017.
I originally thought this was Kiondo, but it is actually N'Dowe, his younger brother. He was sitting beside a bush beside the moat, so I couldn't see his body. He was also a little agitated, perhaps because the gorillas were confined to their island - so his expression reminded me of Kiondo, who is far more excitable than N'Dowe.

They have all almost turned into each other over the years so that I now find it harder to ID them than I've ever done. If, as has been said before, they line up and face you, it's possible. I have to fall back on what they're doing, where they are in the showden, Kivu having a blacker face and so on. But then I do tend to spend more time in the other half of the house....
