Snowcap female

Near the Rainforest Adventures Aerial Tram. This species was actually the first hummingbird I saw (a male on the first day) but the last I was able to photograph (this female).
A real shame that you didn't manage to photograph the male :( ! So I guess you have to return to Costa Rica ;) !

BTW this is the first photo of this species in the ZooChat Gallery ( as far as I was able to find ) !

Yes, the males are gorgeous. I only saw one for a few seconds. It was way too small and way too fast to take a photo and even if I had more time I would probably have failed to do so.
At least I saw it. It's not the most common species in that area (that honor goes to the purple-crowned wood nymph of which I saw multiple) so I still consider myself lucky to have seen a male and photographed a female.
