@Water Dragon Yes, there is a fence down the middle; but at the moment there are 2 large openings where gates were previously hung, to mix or separate the cassowaries.
There has to be something in here now for gods sake! Its been nearly a year and a half. It better be something good for all this time. Brown hyena? Giant Pangolin? Thylacine? Watch it be meerkats after all of this... 'Shudders'
@pachyderm pro I think the Pudu was in here? That's what I think I just read today or yesterday on the Chester news thread (as in, it had just moved out of this enclosure).
The pudu was in a different nearby enclosure opposite the bushdogs, which has previously held cheetahs and servals. The enclosure pictured has not had any animals in it since the cassowaries moved out to Islands. It has looked almost ready for ages, it's like when a download whizzes to 99% then stops....
Actually, they do seem to have actually continued some work on this enclosure. For the past few months, there has been a massive hole in the fence but it finally looked completed yesterday (the fence that is, not the enclosure).
@Chlidonias I don't think the zoo could accommodate any Velociraptor at the moment. The most secure enclosure is on the savanna side of the Jag House: several of us have heard the Curator describe it as suitable for a T. rex. But Bernado, the male spectacled bear, is there at the moment, to let Lima and Madidi (mother & cub) use the whole spectacled bear enclosure.
