This is one of the best enclosures I have ever seen. It is a part of an tasmanian forsest, and it looks really natrual. The tasmanian devils in Copenhagen Zoo is the only ones outside Australia. They are a gift from the tasmanian goverment to the the Danmarks roylals.

I have heart that there are tasmanian devils in the USA (in Albuquerque Zoo (NM) and maybe another Institution). Is this information false or hase those devils died already?

Answer to zoomaniac:
What I know these are the only ones outside Australia, I have not heard about other devils in for example Europe or the US.

Answer to redpanda:
The devils are one spiecis in the theme "Islands". Not only australian, New zeeland and tasmanian animals (cangaroo, devils, Kea and emu) but also Ringtailed Lemur and Galápagos tortoise.
So there are not really a Tasmanian theme, just this enclosure is tasmanian insperard.

Once agin, this is a fantastic enclosure!

Albuquerque was hoping to import a group, but with no success. They and the Ft. Wayne Zoo have had past success with the species, but the last animals at both zoos died several years ago. As far as I know there are none in North America now, nor is there any likely prospect that will change.
