Those windows are pretty darn impressive and this brand-new indoor area is a wonderful addition to one of America's most famous zoos. Looking out of those large windows from this angle, are those trees located across the outdoor moated section of the exhibit? Are those trees near the visitor pathway?
@snowleopard I'm sorry snowleopard, I don't believe I understand the questions. If you're implying that this is located within or behind the main section, this indoor exhibit is off nearly on its own to the right. Looking out of the exhibit to the back, you would see the Pigeon Memorial.
I must say I'm a bit disappointed regarding this new space. Its certainly not bad, but I was expecting a more naturalistic, forested atrium type space. The trees like their from tropic world and there looks to be an usual amount of fake rock. The mulch is a nice touch and the exhibit is still good. I was simply expecting a little more from Cinci this time around.
@pachyderm pro In terms of building an indoor gorilla exhibit, this is exactly what I expected. My only disappointment was the new window for the outdoor yard, which was designed as a small cave, and is only fit for children. The fake rock composes the inner and some outer walls.
