Female Velvet Scoter?

Arundel does not hold Velvet Scoters. I would suggest that is a particulalry dark Common scoter (Melanitta nigra). I have noticed Arundel holds a number of unusally marked female scoters, one with a white eye ring, may be due to age as I know they hold some old stock.

@cuckooduck Thanks - actually since posting this i checked a photo i'd taken of some signage and it is indeed a Common scoter.
