Zoo Praha - Oncilla in the South America House

I am pretty sure, this is Oncilla, Ocelots are not kept in Prague Zoo.

Well Oncilla is Ocelot stromový in czech (literally Tree Ocelot) and czech term is of course first on signs and with a bigger font which explains how it can be mistranlsated into other languages if someone overlooks the next sign with english info. BTW Prague manages studbook of the specie.

Great series of pictures Baldur, thanks for that, I hope you had a good time there.

Thank you both! I trust two people from the Czech Republic more than my notes, memory and animal knowledge put together in this case! :)

@zootiger The oncillas are held in the area labelled on the current map as "South American Carnivores" - you can find it just above the kangaroos and emus, above and to the left of the polar bear exhibit, and immediately below the sitatunga exhibit.

This house also holds Tayra, and in a neighbouring exhibit Cuban Hutia.
