One of my favourite birds at the Zoo. The pair spend a lot of time in their nest box during the winter, but I try to be near their aviary around 2pm when the parrots are fed. The male came out at the same time as the macaws in the next aviary and they spent some time conversing. Note the glorious golden underwing coverts which make this species so beautiful when it flies.
Also one of my favorite Lory-species ! Have you ever seen them displaying - then they realy look great, a living feather-ball of yellow and brown ( and a lot of noise ! ).
