sun bear buin zoo

@carlos55 Do you know where Buin got their sun bear(s) from?

The sun bears at Buin zoo came from Taiwan. Chilean zoos have many ties with asian zoos.

I think this is the only South American collection with this species!

Yes Buin zoo has the only sun Bears in all of Latín América. They hold a pair called Hector and Taipei. The enclousure for the Bears was actually quite nice. Buin zoo is one of the best zoos on south america.
