The indoor enclosure for female elephants at Copenhagen Zoo. Here is the young male Tonsak using the large indoor enclosure while the females are outdoors.

Yes, I saw illustrations of how it was supposed to look on my last visit to Zürich. Based on the few simple drawings I've seen I actually prefer the elephant house at Oregon. However, as we all know, things could easily end up looking dramatically different than the initially released drawings.

- Oregons house will still be much smaller than zurich. But it has a warmer climate so the barn will not be needed as much as it is needed in the alps.
From what I can understand, the total size of Zürich's elephant house will be between Copenhagen's and Cologne's in size (I've found figures ranging from 3000 to 5000 m2; perhaps the result of plans developing?). I've been unable to find numbers for Oregon's new house. Do you know its approximate size?

I am almost certain that these plans have been downsized. All of the renderings seem to be a little different. Some have shown a larger glass area fir the elephants while others have shown a smaller.
