Dwarf mongoose enclosure

The only mammals in the collection. This enclosure is connected to the West-African crocodile tank
It is a very interesting choice to have a single mammal species at this aquarium and I suppose that the owner's decided to go with some kind of cute mongoose/meerkat option to put smiles on the faces of children. You mentioned that the "enclosure is connected to the West-African crocodile tank" and do you mean that the crocs have full access to the area shown in this photo? If so, that would make for an interesting dynamic for a mixed-species exhibit. Lastly, is that a row of hotwire at the top of the wall? I wonder if the mongooses have been attempting to climb to the peak of their mud-bank?

@snowleopard The crocs indeed have full access to this enclosure, but this enclosure can be separated from their main tank. The same combination exists in Basel, but with slightly nicer landscaping ;), but it works very well there with the mongoose breeding regularly.

And yes, that is hotwire ;)
