So this is what Toledo looks like after a long, snowy winter...ugh. Not a blade of grass to be seen anywhere! One thing that I've always been conscious of is that when I go on my long annual 'Snowleopard Road Trips' I'm always traveling in July and August. Those are prime months for northern zoos when they honestly look their best.
@snowleopard The off-seasons are the best time to visit for me. During the summer I have no chance of visiting a zoo during the week, rarely even Saturdays. The crowd affects my filming and photography, so it's a good time to cover the indoor exhibits when no one is there. When it comes to covering outdoor areas in the summer it's not much of a problem, and the scenery is as lush as it can be. The lack of grass could be due to the fact that its been a hoofstock exhibit for many years. Something you predicted would happen a few years ago on a precious photo.
@snowleopard Excellent! I'm thrilled to here that a 10th anniversary special in the snowleopard saga is coming. No matter where you'll be heading, I'll be reading intently as always and I can't wait to here the details.
