Fish ID

my best guess is an Aplocheilus species, hard to say which though.

My guess is Aplocheilus lineatus, more by probability than for being sure about the exact species (but I'm totally sure about the genus).

I don't think it's possible to be certain. A. lineatus usually has more vertical bars. My first thought was Epiplatys dageti (which used to be called E. chaperi) but I am far from confident about that. It's much easier with a colour image of an adult fish in good condition, swimming parallel to the camera

Oh, silly me! I've forgot about Epiplatys, despite having kept myself E. dagueti in my aquarium just last year!!! Certainly it's also a good match...
