Elephants of Asia

It is amazing how one of the nations largest exhibits, has barely any elephants. I hope the zoo can aquire a few females to fill in this exhibit more, issue is the asian elephant ssp is not doing as well as the african.

Over here in Europe, it's the opposite (although we have a surplus of newborn E.m.-bulls unfortunately).

Not enough breeding age females in US zoos. It is an aging population and I predict fewer and fewer Asian elephants in US zoos in the future. There are young bulls, but there would have to be an import of at least a dozen or so young females to jump start breeding.
