@Wyman Despite my confusion with the zoo's decision to bring in five newer mammal species into the Aviary, it makes for an interesting conclusion to an already impressive building. It's a nice location due to the fact that it's an atrium, allowing perfect exposure to sunlight - while at the same time allowing guests to see a koala on display even in the colder months. I just recently read an article discussing his arrival in April 2017, and it stated he will eventually share this space with Lapwings and frogmouths. Yes, it has natural substrate.
