Striped Possum (Dactylopsila trivirgata)

at Chambers Wildlife Lodge
This is probably the Australian mammal I most want to see in the wild (except maybe Marsupial Mole). I am very jealous...

Well, now you know where to go to see it.;)

Marsupial Mole would be even better.
At least Port Hedland is closer to its natural habitat than Ballarat.

@Najade Did you get the impression that the Striped Possum is a long-term regular at Chambers Wildlife Lodge or that they just happened to have one visiting while you were there?

(I've booked to stay there for two nights in July anyway, I'm just wondering whether or not I've got a decently good chance)

So presumably this individual doesn't mind white light? I've always heard that Striped Possums have an absolute terror of white light and disappear immediately they see torchlight.

The whole feeding area is lit up so I'm guessing this one doesn't care too much.
