Bactrian Camel

Zip in his magnificent blondness.
Jozy and her mother Sally are very fair but Zip is much lighter. First time I had a chance to get his picture without a fence in the way.

Wow are you right! He is super blond. I feel like Zip is the right name for him. With his long winter locks he looks like a chill laid back surfer dude. That's the feeling I get from a photo. Nice part is we will be able to tell him apart from the others because he is so blond.

And now that I think of it what are we doing with Goober if we have a new breeding male in Zip? Are he and Jamarcus one day joining the long MIA Dudley in the domain? Oh great new idea one I wanted with the whole herd but I will take with out bachelors... Would they possibly put them in the drive through.

I think Goober is retired. Don't remember where I heard or read that Jamarcus is Outreach; maybe from you!
Last fall I talked to the Eurasia lead keeper and two other keepers together about filling a couple of empty spaces in Eurasia. One thing they are considering is Takin but a lot of fence reinforcement would have to be done. I asked about putting some of the camels over there and they said it would be too far for shifting them back and forth.
For a while Dudley has been in the valley and Ghengis in Eurasia, but yesterday and last week I could not find Ghengis at all. (2.0 Przewalskis). I will ask.

Confirmed Goober, Sally, and Rebecca are retired. Jamarcus is still there and having daily training for his future role. Probably Zip will not be successful yet but it is possible.

I thought the 0.6.0 bison had finished quarantine in Ghengis' yard but they are still there and he is in a yard out of sight. Spotted the bison from the path ages ago but if they are not moving , at this time of year they are just blobs so must have missed them looking for Ghengis.

Takin - not now or soon, but not off the table.

Didn't hear about Jamarcus from me. I don't think I knew he was being used for outreach.

Give someone out inbred tur and be done with them. Oh look we have a huge exhibit ready for a big herd of takin! Maybe a few renos would be needed but stop breeding a species with no value to any SSP program and swap a good mountain exhibit over to a species which could use it.
