The aquaria-section in the Øresund Aquarium in Helsingør, Denmark. These aquaria are divided into thematic aquaria and biotope aquaria.
The Øresund Aquarium features only wildlife native to Øresund, the narrow sea separating Denmark and Sweden. It opened in 1973 and recieved a major renovation in 2006. The aquarium is part of the University of Copenhagen.
