The thematic-aquaria in the Øresund Aquarium in Helsingør, Denmark. These aquaria show various species of fish, crab and even octopus in smaller tanks for close-up studies.
The Øresund Aquarium features only wildlife native to Øresund, the narrow sea separating Denmark and Sweden. It opened in 1973 and recieved a major renovation in 2006. The aquarium is part of the University of Copenhagen.
